About this fundraiser

The Music Maker Relief Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, was founded to preserve the musical traditions of the South by directly supporting the musicians who make it, ensuring their voices will not be silenced by poverty and time. Music Maker will give future generations access to their heritage through documentation and performance programs that build knowledge and appreciation of America’s musical traditions. As a musician from the American South, I am really thankful to be fortunate enough to have grown up in a music family. As a child, my father, a trumpet player, introduced me to many musicians who would shape my own musical journey. Many of them continue to bless us with their talent, despite their age and in some cases failing health. I would like to give back and showcase as many of these wonderful musicians as I can. The track, "Chain Me Down" holds on to the classic Southern Blues sound while delivering it to a whole new generation.
